Business attorney (part time)

About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a long-term partnership with an attorney who has a firm understanding of contract law and litigation. Our business has approximately 10 legal cases a year between us and our customers. We are looking for an attorney who is thorough, discerning, and able to deliver high quality work in a timely manner. The attorney would be required to perform the full range of legal research, analysis, law interpretation, and litigation for the company on an as-needed basis. Additionally, the attorney would be required to advise the president on legal matters and provide both offensive and defensive representation for Power Plus in court. Reporting Relationship: The attorney would be required to report to Kevin Wang, the President of Power Plus.

 

Expectations:

The attorney must be a skilled communicator, operating in the best interest of Power Plus, able to prepare clear and concise legal documents and briefs, and apply statutes and codes applicable to Power Plus’ cases. The attorney must also represent Power Plus in court, competently advocating with clear and logical arguments, and adhering to the facts presented in the case.

 

Education and Experience:

The attorney must have graduated from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and have at

least (5) years of experience as a practicing business attorney within a private firm. The attorney must also be a current and good standing member of the California State Bar Association.

Power Plus Cleaning Solutions is looking to hire a full-time office manager to run our office in Anaheim, CA. Duties will include, but

not be limited to:

 

  • General administrative tasks such as opening mail, filing, email, scanning, data entry, etc.
  • HR responsibilities and payroll processing, collection calls,
  • Some additional AR/AP work (mailing monthly statements, creating invoices)
  • Filing of government and legal documents
  • Other special projects.

 

In the future, this position might also expand to include attending trade shows, planning company events, and working directly with

our distributors.

 

Hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Pay rate is $15- $25 per hour DOE, Competency and reliability.

 

Experience required

The perfect candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience and at least a 2-year degree in fields such as communications, usiness management, accounting, chemistry, biology or environmental engineering. Bilingual in Spanish is preferable but not a required. We are looking for someone energetic, dependable and willing to learn the ropes of our business.

Marketing Manager

Basic Function and Responsibilities:

Management of marketing operations from planning and budgeting, through content management, to global marketing execution and analysis. Serves as coordinator for internal and external projects. Project management including planning, organizing, securing, managing, leading and controlling resources to achieve specific goals. Provide administrative, communications and project support to

the President. Assumes responsibility for maintaining a professional, organized, efficient and enjoyable office environment. Shares in the vision of Powerplus.

 

Essential Duties

I. Marketing operations management.

  • Development and execution of marketing strategy with a goal of maximizing revenue and profits.
  • Develop tools for evaluating and measuring return on marketing investment (ROMI)
  • Create a marketing dashboard which shows the status of all ongoing marketing activities and tracks key performance indicators thereby facilitating improved marketing effectiveness.

 

II. Project management.

 

  • Planning, organizing, securing, managing, leading and controlling resources to achieve specific goals.

 

III. Administrative (Provides administrative, communications and project support to the PP team.)

  • Planning- Mapping the path from where the organization is to where it wants to be.
  • Organizing- Identifying responsibilities to be performed, grouping responsibilities into departments or divisions, and specifying organizational relationships.
  • Leadership- Leading people in a manner that achieves organizational goals while providing an effective support system.
  • Quality control- Detection of potential or actual deviations from organizational mission, vision or values.
  • Accounting- Implement budget plan and budget controls. Prepares check requests, P.O.’s, journal receipts and journal entries. Pays all invoices. Deposits monies as needed.
  • Data management- Development of policies and procedures for data management.
  • Keeps receipts organized and filed.
  • Management of mail directing it to appropriate personnel. Tracking of budget, ledgers and bills.
  • Keeps printer/storage room stocked and organized with supplies and materials.
  • Responsible for keeping hospitality supplies for staff and incoming guests.
  • Oversees storage areas and general office space.
  • Assists with all other administrative, clerical, and office support tasks as requested.
  • Assists with research, presentations and preparations for meetings.
  • Sends e-mails and memos as needed.
  • Assists with correspondence.
  • Schedules meetings.

 

IV Customer Service.

  • Serves as a "point person". Ensures that incoming calls and appointments are served well and are given a positive first impression and consistent positive image.
  • Receives and forwards calls and appointments to the appropriate personnel. With aggressive screening of calls to the President.
